Bring the Best out of Your Juice!

For this week, Arctic Social investigates the world of juice…what is good, what’s not so good, and what Arctic is doing to offer the best we can. Despite the fancy nutrition labels on in-store juice bottles, the high sugar content and thousands of preservatives found in store brought juices is huge, and they don’t give us the health benefits we need as well as being hugely overpriced for the product your buying. Until recently, we thought the 'bad' drinks were those such as coke and sprite, while orange juice was an easy way to get one of our 'five a day'. But the goalposts have shifted, and it’s been proven orange juices can have as much sugar in as 13 chocolate biscuits, and certain ‘well known’ smoothies have the same as three and a half doughnuts - so 100% juice doesn’t mean anything unless you have it right!

INSPIRE & ENJOY

We were due to release the inaugural blog for the Arctic Group this week, and it was our intention to do a piece on fitness, nutrition and being ‘winter fit’.  That was until I watched ‘Before the Flood’ the other day.  For those who haven’t seen this documentary yet (released about a month ago), it’s a Leonardo DiCaprio produced film that packs some serious punch. If we put to one side the celebrity factor, i.e the natural cynicism that some people will attach to a famous actor ‘going political’ or ‘going green’, and we simply look at the facts and judge this at face value, then the climate change crisis is not only undeniable, but we can actually still do something about it, (we should also note that this is not a new issue for DiCaprio and regardless who cares if some good comes out of it).

Arctic Group Press Trip with GQ Magazine, Hollywood Reporter, Tempus Magazine, FT, Forever Sports Magazine and Brogue...this was in the wild at Arctic Refuge...we just had fun!

Get Brogue:  (Online)

This week Brogue went to stay at at the bloody brilliant new Arctic Townhouse and show off their skills on (and off) the slopes of Val d'Isere. The Arctic Lodge & Co team set us up with an off-piste guide, VIP apres ski, massages and to top things off - an epic torchlit hike to a secluded lodge (Arctic Refuge), for a beautiful fondue night. We never want to do a ski any other way!

Thomas Byrne: From 'Forever Sports Magazine'

Thanks for a fantastic few days. I had such good fun on and off the slopes. Everything was so well put together and the hospitality really was next level.

Brilliant company as well – great to meet you all. Here's to being young and fun!

Anna Beesley: From 'Luxury Stylist' & 'FT'

Thanks so much for a wonderful trip, it really was a perfect few days. The Arctic Co were so knowledgeable and helpful (and amazing, obviously) every step of the way. Why would you want to do a ski holiday different?! You spoiled us!

Rebecca Lucas: GQ Magazine and Alex Ritman: Hollywood Reporter:

We were so impressed by the entire trip: the organisation, the accommodation at Arctic Townhouse, all the staff, the food, the generosity, especially the company and even the snow and sunshine. What an amazing way to kick off 2017!

Louse Gillespie: Lifestyle Agency

Thank you so much for your incredible hospitality over the past few days. Your passion for what you are doing was inspiring and the group certainly got a feel for the Arctic Lodge & Co brand! Last night was the cherry on the cake and highlighted how you are approaching the luxury market from a completely different angle - the journalists were in awe, so much so that we spent an hour chatting about it over gin once we got back! (Arctic Gin Club was just one of the many small touches that made the experience so different to other luxury chalets!)

You guys went above and beyond in every way, from organising ski guides to lunches, apres, you name it, and it certainly didn't go unnoticed by the journalists, many of whom commented that this has been the best press trip they've been on-praise indeed from a travel journalist!

The team at Arctic Townhouse were incredible and utterly faultless-the food was phenomenal and staff worked tirelessly to ensure our every whim was catered for, often pre-empting people's requests before they even asked.
